* Coronavirus update: 318 new COVID-19 cases identified Tuesday, total rises to 83,870

Mar 02, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 318 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Tuesday.

Among the positive cases identified Tuesday are 308 associates of the Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster, 9 associates of prison cluster and one foreign arrival.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 10 pm Tuesday, a total of 83,870 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 3,367 infected patients are being treated at hospitals. Another 451 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Sri Lanka reported seven deaths on Tuesday raising the total to 483 and 80,020 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
